A new “Find Vej i” universe offers more experiences – and a far better user journey
W360 has helped the Danish Orienteering Federation (DOF) rebuild Findveji.dk from the ground up. The result is a platform where fitness enthusiasts, schools, and clubs can easily discover new routes, register checkpoints, and become part of the digital community – both out in nature and in front of the screen at home.

From Requirements to finished solution
DOF came to us with a detailed requirements specification describing the vision of a modern platform where orienteering is for everyone, and where both clubs and individuals can find, purchase, and register routes across Denmark.
In close dialogue, we designed a new architecture focused on usability and accessibility: from structuring routes and projects with geo-filtering, to access control and login through both membership and integration with DOF’s membership service.
Visual upgrade and better experience
“Find Vej i” has a strong visual identity with vibrant colors and an active, approachable profile. The new site continues the green, orange, and white palette, but elevates it to the same level as DOF’s other digital expressions.
The design is responsive and built to work equally well at the desk and in the forest. Route pages and project pages are consistent, clear, and easy to use – also on mobile. Users are met with clear call-to-actions such as “Start tour,” “Show map,” and “Register checkpoints” that make it easy to get started.
The result
Findveji.dk today is far more than a collection of maps and PDFs – it is a living platform offering personal statistics, recommendations, and the ability to register checkpoints both live and afterwards via “My Page.”
- Users can now purchase and access routes – individually or via membership
- Clubs and project owners can update their own project pages and routes
- Mobile view delivers an “in-the-forest experience,” showing the route and logging checkpoints live
- Quiz routes for schools and children are integrated into the same system
- O-service members automatically get access without payment
The Identity of “Find Vej i”
A digital platform with respect for tradition and community
For years, “Find Vej i” has helped Danes get out into nature through orienteering and experience-based activity. Our task was to modernize the platform without losing the accessible, community-driven foundation.
We built on the existing visual identity and further developed it with modern web design principles, so the platform now appears both recognizable and contemporary.
The result is a platform where children, adults, schools, and clubs come together in a simple and motivating user experience – whether logging in for the first time or as seasoned Find Vej users.

Clarification phase
From requirements specification to an eye-level user journey
To ensure a solid foundation, we worked closely with the Danish Orienteering Federation (DOF) and the project’s other stakeholders. The starting point was a detailed requirements specification – but most importantly, the ambition had to be translated into a platform that works in practice.
We took the time to understand the many user groups: fitness enthusiasts, teachers, club members, and project owners. This insight shaped navigation, access models, and functions down to the smallest detail.
A Collaboration Built on Dialogue and Shared Ownership
DOF and W360 have had an open and dynamic collaboration where decisions were made efficiently with attention to both technical solutions and the user experience. This was crucial in delivering a complex solution within a short timeframe – without compromising on quality.
